Full Description

A Second World War pillbox (Type 22) located AT tr 3864 6496 adjacent to East Cliff Bandstand, Ramsgate which was visible on aerial photographs taken in 1942. The pillbox was partially disguised with a wooden roof similar to the bandstand giving it the appearance of a seaside kiosk. It was surrounded on two sides by barbed wire. These features were mapped as part of the Historic England: Ramsgate HAZ project. (1)
