A 12th century boundary ditch running on a north south axis for circa 120m was identified during excavations in 2000. The ditch continued beyond the limits of the excavations and is interpreted as either part of the field system or a precursor to the Holloway that developed to the west in Area A, a century later (summarised from the original report, 1).
