Full Description

A palaeochannel was identified during an excavation at Herne Bay Golf Course, Herne Bay in 2016. The channel pre-dates Bronze Age activity at the site (TR 16 NE 1427) and measured around 40m in width, and around 3m in depth. No finds were associated with the fill of the feature, however sampling was carried out for carbon 14 dating and palaeoenvironmental analysis. (1)
