Full Description
Site of original Fire Station behind the Market House opposite The Vine PH. The old Fire Station housed manual fire enginesfrom 1848. In 1896, when a horse-drawn steamer was purchased, the Market House itself became the fire station. The station was later moved to Ashford Road, St Michaels and the original building was demolished in 1979 to widen Station Road.
