Full Description
The feature measured 2.10m long, 0.75m wide, and 0.28m in depth. The fill contained two Mesolithic- Early Neolithic flint blades and two bladelets of similar date. The feature may be of natural origin such as a tree bowl or animal burrow containing residual material, or could represent a feature of primary deposition.
Further pieces of worked flint dating from this period were recovered from excavations at the site, and were described as representing "transient peripatetic activity" (from the original report, 1).
