A Second World War bomb crater visible as an earthwork within a large low-lying field. First seen on RAF aerial photographs taken in 1947. This was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. Since being photographed in 1947 this crater has been destroyed through clay quarrying for the local cement industry.

Full Description

A Second World War bomb crater with a diameter of c.5m, visible as an earthwork at TQ 7251 7689 within a large low-lying field. First seen on RAF aerial photographs taken in 1947, this was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. Since being photographed in 1947 this crater has been destroyed through clay quarrying for the local cement industry. (1)
