A Second World War bomb crater visible as water-filled earthwork at the edge of a large low-lying field. First seen on RAF aerial photographs taken in 1947. This was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. Since being photographed in 1947 this crater has been destroyed through clay quarrying for the local cement industry.

Full Description
A Second World War bomb crater with a diameter of c.9m, visible as water-filled earthwork at TQ 7244 7719 at the edge of a large low-lying field.
First seen on RAF aerial photographs taken in 1947, this was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. Since being photographed in 1947 this crater has been destroyed through clay quarrying for the local cement industry. (1)
