Full Description
The site of a former 19th - 20th century sheep wash recorded at TQ 7236 7682 on historic Ordnance Survey maps (1st epoch (1879), 2nd epoch (1896) and 3rd epoch of 1908.). The map sources depict a single small building within a fenced off corner of a low-lying field in the former marsh. This site and the surrounding area has been destroyed through extensive clay quarrying for the local cement industry in the early to mid 20th century (1-3)
