Full Description

Vessel driven ashore and lost during SSE squalls. `Dover 13 Jan, 10.55am. NORTHERN BELLE, stranded near Sandgate this morning, through sprit breaking. Crew all landed by rocket apparatus, vessel full water. Arrangements being made to salve everything possible at low water...'(LL) `Sandgate 1.38pm. Vessel total wreck...' `Dover 10.02am. NORTHERN BELLE gone to pieces; remains and gear salved should be disposed of as soon as possible.' (1)
