Full Description
The slight earthwork remains of a possible post medieval earthwork bank can be seen on lidar taken in 2001. This bank is situated in a field towards the south eastern corner of Cooling Marshes and is centred on TQ 7630 7675. The most noticeable feature on the 1953 aerial photographs is a small mound towards the south western end of this bank at TQ 7628 7674 though a slight trace of the remainder of this bank is just visible. This site was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1-2)
