Summary

Charge house at the Marsh Gunpowder Works constructed after 1786. A survey as part of the RCHME Faversham's Explosives Industry project in 1991, found the building to be extant. The building was rectangular on plan, single-storey and brick built with a curved corrugated iron roof. It measured 3.9 metres by 2.4 metres in plan with a height of 2.4 metres.

Full Description

Charge house at the Marsh Gunpowder Works constructed after 1786. It was shown on a plan of the works by Nobels Explosives Co. Ltd in 1920 as building 85. A survey as part of the RCHME Faversham's Explosives Industry project in 1991, found the building to be extant (building 1 - RCHME ground photography negative reference 164/K/1-3).The building was rectangular on plan, single-storey and brick built with a curved corrugated iron roof. It measured 3.9 metres by 2.4 metres in plan with a height of 2.4 metres. (1-2)
