Summary

Cannons identified at the Marsh Gunpowder Works during the RCHME Faversham's Explosives Industry Project in 1991. Seven cannons were recorded, all had been re-used as gate bollards. Three of the cannons were 1.85 metres in length, the rest were 2.63 metres in length. Two were found in situ along Ham Road, north of the entrance lodge.

Full Description

Cannons identified at the Marsh Gunpowder Works during the RCHME Faversham's Explosives Industry Project in 1991 (RCHME ground photography negative reference 164/K/27-30). Seven cannons were identified, all had been re-used as gate bollards. Three of the cannons were 1.85 metres in length, the rest were 2.63 metres in length. Two were found in situ along Ham Road, north of the entrance lodge. (1)
