Full Description
`A lark bark, said to be from the West Indies, run on shore on Monday last on the North Foreland, the name or damage she received not mentioned.' (1)
Source (2) interprets 'lark' as the name of the vessel and states the date of loss as the reporting date of 15-SEP-1769.
`Lark' = small boat, earliest known use 1796 [OED], or possibly a transcription error, attracted by `bark', for `light', i.e. in ballast.
