1860 wreck of English lugger which foundered after being 'towed under' while employed on salvage work on the EARL OF EGLINGTON (1250581), and laden with bales from that wreck. She was bound for her home port of Ramsgate. Constructed of wood, she was a wooden sailing vessel. Status: Casualty

Full Description

' . . . a lugger, whilst being towed from the wreck of the EARL OF EGLINGTON, on which she was employed in salvage work, to Ramsgate, full of bales, part of the ship's cargo, during the night was towed under and sunk. One man drowned.' (1)
