Traces of a circuit of Second World War barbed wire seen on 1947 RAF aerial photographs located by roadside, north of Allhallows. No trace of a pillbox or gun emplacement could be seen within the barbed wire entaglement, which must have been removed prior to the date of the photographs. This feature was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

Full Description

Traces of a circuit of Second World War barbed wire with a diameter of c 70m was seen on 1947 RAF aerial photographs located by roadside at TQ 8321 7848, north of Allhallows. No trace of a pillbox or gun emplacement could be seen within the barbed wire entaglement, which must have been removed prior to the date of the photographs. This feature was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1)
