`Lydd - June 5th, 9.30am - MARY COLES, brigantine, of Belfast, from Queenstown for Newcastle (limestone) stranded at Lydd Station at 2 o'clock this morning and is likely to become a total wreck; crew landed by rocket apparatus.' (1)
