The feature is visible but not labelled on the 1st edition map, and is labelled as "Old Chalk Pit" with an apparently new building constructed in the pit on the 2nd edition OS map. The use of the pit appears to have changed by the 3rd edition OS map, where the pit is labelled as "Saw Pit".

A post-medieval chalk pit is visible on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd OS maps at Faversham, Swale. The feature is visible but not labelled on the 1st edition map, and is labelled as "Old Chalk Pit" with an apparently new building constructed in the pit on the 2nd edition OS map.
