Monument record TQ 77 NW 1323 - The Ham Wall, a former sea wall which extends north for c.490m from Cliffe into the former area of marshland

The Ham Wall, a former sea wall which extends north for c.490m from Cliffe into the former area of marshland between TQ 7351 7680 and TQ 7342 7728. The wall is recorded on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map and on all subsequent editions up to the present day. However, it is not clear when the wall was constructed. The wall is now a causeway carrying a track into the marshes. This was recorded during the course of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1-4)
