Wealden hall house.  C16 Red brick under-built ground floor, tile-hung 1st floor.  Some ragstone walling visible on west side of house.  Plain tiled roof returned gable to left, hipped to right with ridge stack.  2 storeys, irregular 3-window facade, C19 lattice casements.  Boarded door left of centre.  Later wing to rear.  Interior:  C16 fireplace with chamfered bressummer and salthole. Possible C16 panelling with arched doorway, perhaps remaining from Buttery/ Pantry.  Crown post and 2 king-posts in roof. Formerly open 2-bay hall and upper-end cross wing of later medieval date. The lower end was rebuilt in the 18th century and the former front jetty cut back.(3)
