Summary

An unidentified wreck was situated by a small inlet on the coast near Gull Down Plantation. This wreck is recorded on the Hydrographic Office wreck Index and is first seen on aerial photographs taken in 1978. This wreck, which measured approximately 25m by 9m, was still visible though in a poor condition in 1993. By 2007 the coast had been straightened and the wreck no longer visible. This craft was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. Status: Site

Vertical Datum: LAT Orientation: WE 30-JUL-1975 Stranded wreck dries 4.7m Shown in 51 24 41.6N 000 33 24.4E on k7238. 24-MAY-1990 Shown as stranded wreck in 51 24 41.6N 000 33 24.4E orientation W/E on photoplot (1). This unidentified wreck is visible on aerial photographs taken in 2007. It is situated on the mud near Buttercrock Wharf at TQ 7882 7125. It has been mapped from them as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(2) Additional photographs (2-7). No visible remains in 2004. May have been buried or removed (8)
