`Ramsgate, 10th March. Some parts of a wreck, with several spars, amongst which is a lower mast, 63 feet long, by 18 inches, painted white at the head, and above the partner one hoop, under the cheeks 16 feet, from keel to partner; appears to be an American spar.' (2)
