Full Description
'There is an account from Deal, September 25, that the French ship laden with salt, that ran ashore the day before, was overset near Sandwich Haven, but the men on board were all saved.' (1)
'Deal, Sept. 25...Wind SW, hath blown very hard, with rain all night, and continues so to do...The ship that put on shore yesterday had much water in her hold, and was laden with salt; after the men were all saved she overset, and is lost near Sandwich Haven.' (2)
