Pond, visible on the 2nd edition OS map. Recorded during 2024 Kent Downs National Landscape Historic Ponds project.
Preservation: Pond on historic maps but not visible on current OS (ghost pond)
Pond shape: Rectangular
Site type: Former extractive pit (e.g chalk, clay, gravel)
Description: Rectangular pond close to a large house called Woodside. Seen up until the 3rd edition OS. Dark on 1m LiDAR so may still exist in some form but impossible to tell as it's become part of Birchfield Wood.
