Preservation: Part of pond clearly visible on current OS/LIDAR
Pond shape: Circular/oval
Site type: Former extractive pit (e.g chalk, clay, gravel)
Description: "Appears to have been one of a series of chalk pits in the vicinity, close by to The Chantry - which is also marked a 'Smithy' on first and second ed OS.
From LIDAR edges of feature can be seen, with a mound in the middle, which suggests the pond was back-filled. "
