Full Description
Site of a Second World War heavy anti aircraft battery at Cooling. It was known as battery TSTS13 and TS25. No further information.(1)
Two heavy anti aircraft batteries (TS13 and TS25) forming part of the Thames and Medway Gun Defended Area are listed at TQ 765 762, north east of Childs Farm Cottages. No evidence of a battery could be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and it is possible that these numbers refer instead to the battery circa 700m to the west at Marshgate TQ at 7577 7625 (NMR 416599).
