Full Description
A possible ring ditch or enclosure is partly visible as cropmarks on air photographs taken July 16th 2001. The cropmarks suggest a sub-circular or sub-rectangular feature a minimum of 23 metres across, with a probable west-facing causeway or entrance. Assuming a complete ditch circuit, then the cropmarks represent the western half of the monument. The shape suggests a possible ring ditch, or given the markedly straight lengths of ditch visible, a small enclosure of some kind. The eastern half is lost beneath alluvium, the site lying close to the confluence of the Little Stour and the Great Stour. (1)
