Full Description
A circular enclosure or possibly a large ring ditch is visible as cropmarks on air photographs taken July 16th 2001. Located around the 10m contour close to the nw end of a ridge of higher ground between the Great and Little Stours, and a short distance south of their confluence, the cropmarks suggest a circular ditched enclosure at least 48 metres across with an east facing entrance that appears to be marked on its southern side by a substantial post pit. Only the eastern half of the presumed enclosure is visible, the remainder lying beneath uncultivated ground. (1)
