Summary

Site of a Second World War Diver Battery in the Kentish Gun Belt at Speldhurst. It was armed with eight mobile 3.7-inch guns, and manned by 422 Battery of 127 Regiment of the 40th Anti Aircraft Brigade. It was initially equipped with Predictor AA No.10 and AA No.3 Mark V radar, and was occupied from June 17th 1944 to July 15th 1944, when it was redeployed.
