Summary

Site of a Second World War Diver Battery in the Kentish Gun Belt at Norton. It was armed with eight mobile 3.7-inch guns, and manned by A Battery of the Royal Artillery Training Establishment of the 57th Anti Aircraft Brigade. It was initially equipped with Predictor AA No.10 and No.3 Mark V radar. This site formed part of the first reinforcement of the Diver Gun Belt , when 16 x 3.7-inch guns were deployed on two additional sites, which was completed by June 27th 1944.
