Summary

Site of temporary light anti aircraft (Diver) battery at Frittenden which was occupied from 24th June - July 5th 1944. This had been part of the second deployment of anti aircraft equipment to the Kentish Gun Belt. Each battery consisted of two 40mm light anti aircraft guns deployed to sites which already had adequate troop accommodation, and it was manned by 95 Regiment of 102 Brigade. It was abandoned in favour of the four-gun intermediate light anti aircraft sites in July 1944.
