Builder: Palmer's and Co Date Built: 1900 Owner: British Navy Crew: 60 Armament: 1 x 12 pdr, 5 x 6 pdr, 2 Torpedo Tubes Sank following a collision with SS HAMBORN. (2) Sunk by gunfire from HMSP17. (3) 02-APR-1917 Vessel sunk, position given 50 41 00N, 005 00 00E. 05-APR-1971 Wreck located 50 47 32N, 005 94 08E. least depth 89 in general depth 102ft. Swept clear at 75, foul at 86ft. Length 100 to 120ft, lies SW/NE. 26-MAR-1975 examined in 50 47 29N, 005 95 01E. Swept clear at 26.4, foul at 27.1m, least depth 28.0 in a general depth 32m, scour 1m deep, length 40ft. 09-Aug-1977 in 50 47 29N, 005 95 00E. swept clear at 26, foul at 28.5m. least depth 28.1 in general depth 32m. height 4.3m, length 42m, lies N/S. 23-JUL-1985 in 50 47 31N, 005 94 08E.depth 28.6 in general depth 32m. Scour depth 33m, height 4.4m, length 40m. lying N/S. Large magnetic anomaly. Charted as wreck 27.5m. 02-APR-1987 depth over wreck is 26.0 in general depth 31m. 23-JUL-1988 in 50 47 31N, 005 85 08E depth 27.6 in general depth 31m. Scour 0.5m deep. 17-SEP-1988 intact, lying 010/190 deg, with no mast or other projections observed. length 42m, width 4m. height 3.8m. 25-AUG-1989 positively identified as HMS MYRMIDON - name stamped on steering gear.
