Full Description

Vertical Datum: LAT Mined off Dungeness [in about 50 51 00N, 000 55 00E or 4m SE of Dungeness buoy - WW1SL. 18-JUN-1974 Wreck in 50 50 20N, 000 53 11E. Depth 26 in general depth 31m. 31-MAY-1975 at 50 50 20N, 000 53 11E. Depth 26.0 In general depth 31m, scour 1m deep, length 75ft. 11-JUN-1976 Swept clear at 22.4, foul at 23.3m, depth 22.8 in general depth 30 - 32m. length 100m, lies 060/240 deg. JUN-1978 Dived on, stern section of warship, only one propellor seen. Several guns on quarterdeck, two pairs of boat davits, possible torpedo tube, with torpedo inside, lie alongside wreckage. 18-FEB-1983 Identified as wreck of HMS GHURKA.
