Full Description

Vertical Datum: LAT Torpedoed and sunk by German submarine UB29. Sank 4 miles SW by W from Dungeness. 29-APR-1957 Wreck located 50 51 36N, 000 56 48E. 16-NOV-1961 Depth 77 in general depth 108ft, believed to be a rock. 25-MAR-1975 Examined in 50 51 30N, 000 56 40E In general depth 33m. No scour. Length 150ft. 02-AUG-1976 Definitely a wreck, depth 21.3 length 97m. Lies 075/255 deg. 06-JUN-1989 This may not be the SALYBIA. Bell has been recovered from this wreck but has yet to be cleaned to enable correct identification. (T Hanlan, telecon)
