Full Description

Vertical Datum: LAT Torpedoed while en route Bilbao to Middlesbrough, by German submarine UB57, with loss of 13 lives. Under requisition at time of loss and armed. 01-APR-1918 Located 400yds ESE Dungeness lightvessel, least depth 17 fathoms (va Dover). 02-MAR-1961 Another wreck or piece. 10-NOV-1976 Reported height 30ft in a general depth of 28m. 03-AUG-1977 in 50 53 10N ,001 00 46E . Depth 23.7m in a general depth 30-32m. Height 10.6m, length 78m, lying 020/200 deg. 19-AUG-1982 Dived on recently, bell recovered - name indistinct - either ABHONA or ABEONA. 23-AUG-1982 Name on bell is ABEONA, which was former name of EXCELLENCE PLESKE when built in 1886.
