Vertical Datum: LAT Sank following collision with SS HANKOW, en route England from Carthagena. (2) 03-MAR-1961 Depth 83ft in 94-104ft scour, 6ft decca red 23-MAR-1975 Position 50 53 56N 000 59 39E, Wreck clear at 23.0m, fouled at 23.6m, depth 25.0m in a general depth 30-31m, scour 1m, rough bottom, length of 120ft. 03-AUG-1977 in 50 53 57N, 000 59 39E Depth 23.6m in a general depth 31-32m, scour 32m, height 8.3m, length 40m, lying 120/300 deg. 19-FEB-1983 Dived 1982, broken in two, approximately amidships, aft section intact, listing 25 degs and standing about 25ft above seabed, forward section collapsed. Cargo is lead ingots, probably of Spanish origin. Thought to be the MILBANKE. Cargo will be recovered in 1983. 07-SEP-1984 Salvage of lead cargo still not completed, unlikely that it will be finished before 1985. 26-NOV-1986 Salvage of lead cargo completed during 1986.
