Vertical Datum: LAT At about 2230 the Spanish SS MURILLO collided at speed with the NORTHFLEET which was lying at anchor off Dungeness.(2) 07-FEB-1975 Position taken from chart 1895 dated 1875 which shows and names the place where the NORTHFLEET sank. Reported to lie in position 50 56 32N 001 01 25E, Dungeness New Light House 225deg . 11-DEC-1977 in 50 56 35N, 001 01 13E, Depth 23.2m in a general depth 20-27m, scour 27m height 5.4m, length 37m, but part evidently, silted up. Lying 350/170 deg at bottom of a slope. Charted as wreck 23m. Lies almost upright in 90ft of water, one mast still intact for 20ft above the deck. Hull also intact. Owned by Folkestone 501 SAC.
