Vertical Datum: LAT Torpedoed by E boat en route from Wear to Southampton. 02-MAR-1961 least echo sounder depth 70ft 15-NOV-1961 Drift sweep clear 62ft scour 111ft least depth 77ft 01-MAR-1972 Identified as LIZZONIA and not SIR RUSSELL position 50 58 20N 001 08 01E but first surveyed by Scott in 1960 before LIZZONIA sank, so this probably wrong (Folkestone Salvage Co). 21-SEP-1977 in 50 57 15N, 001 09 42E Depth 25.1m in general depth 30m, scour 32-33m. side scan sonar height 5.1m, length 45m lying 100/280 deg. Charted as wreck 25m.
