Full Description
White Hall Farm Battery was located at TQ 888 771. It opened in 1918 and was armed with two 6-inch breech-loading Mk. VII guns. The battery was retained for permanent use in 1920 and was active at the beginning of the Second World War, however it had fallen out of use by 1942-1943. During the Second World War it was manned by B and 286 Batteries of 516 Coastal Regiment. (1-2)
Aerial photography from 1975 shows that the site had been restored to agricultural use and no features of the battery survived. The only related surviving feature is a series of Anti-tank cubes remaining along the shore line. (3)
