Full Description
Site of National School, Harnet Street, Sandwich as shown on the 1st Edition O/S map. Prior to 1871 there was a National School for 82 boys in Harnet Street. Unfortunately the premises left a lot to be desired and so, following a Committee decision, a Board School for 460 children was opened in School Road in 1877. This is the current Sandwich Infants School.
