Vertical Datum: LAT Mined. (2). 17-APR-1959 Position 51 01 13N, 001 09 00E depth 79ft approximately 300ft in length contacted whilst searching for DE FONTAINE. 19-JUN-1963 Dispersal contract placed. 13-JUL-1964 Dispersed to a least depth of 45ft 15-APR-1969 Dived upon and positive identification that this is the steamship Newcastle British steamship sunk 10-OCT-1915 08-JUN-1978 Reported as lying on hard sand bottom on port side with hull in good condition and showing few signs of corrosion on NE/SW axis bow SW.

Super-structure and debris lying alongside hull. Bow extensively damaged. Steel propellor, no scour. 18-OCT-1977 In 51 01 14N, 001 09 00E Depth 15.2m in general depth 23m, no scour, height 5.6m, length 115m. Lying 040/220 deg. 04-NOV-1984 Reported as large wreck, lying upside down. Other sources: WW1SL
