Summary

A Post Medieval sheepwash is depicted on the 1894 Ordnance Survey map. This sheepwash was situated by the southern channel of Salt Fleet within a small field defined by channels. It was still present in 1947 but has subsequently been demolished. This site was identified as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

Full Description

A Post Medieval sheepwash is depicted on the 1894 Ordnance Survey map. This sheepwash was situated by the southern channel of Salt Fleet at TQ 7642 7872 within a small field defined by channels. It was still present in 1947 but has subsequently been demolished.This site was identified as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(1-3)
