Full Description

Vertical Datum: LAT The QUEEN was captured and sunk by German destroyers. She was the world's first turbine cross-channel ferry. Sunk en route Boulogne to Folkestone. Sank 3 miles NE from Varne Lightvessel. (2) 08-NOV-1977 Depth 47m in general depth 48-52m, height 1.9m. very small, length 25m. Lying 033/213 deg 10-FEB-78 Wreck 47m, in general depth 48-52m, height 1.9m. 28-AUG-1985 in 51 02 50N, 001 27 22E. Depth 48 in general depths 47 to 51m, no scour, very small wreck apparently broken up or partially buried. Stands proud of seabed but in large dip. Small magnetic anomaly, seems too small to be this wreck - could be GOREGA. 02-APR-1987 Depth 47m in general depths 46 to 50m, scour depth 50.1 m.
