This oblong pond, since levelled, is depicted on the 1894 Ordnance Survey map and was situated to the west of Egypt Bay. This site was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

The earthworks of a post medieval pond can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1947. This oblong pond, since levelled, is depicted on the 1894 Ordnance Survey map and was situated to the west of Egypt Bay at TQ 7691 7932.
