Full Description
An incomplete line of Second World War barbed wire can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1947. This line of barbed wire is to the west of the village near the top of a north west facing slope. It could be traced from TQ 7770 7521 to TQ 7795 7537 and has since been removed. This site is likely to have been associated with the nearby pill box (see NMR 1426743). The barbed wire was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(1-2)
