The earthwork remains of a probable post medieval stock watering pond within St Mary's Marshes mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. The pond appears as an elongated water-filled pond with up-cast material forming two long parallel banks on the northern and southern sides. This is a form of pond seen at several locations in the marshes of the Hoo Peninsula.

Full Description

The earthwork remains of a probable post medieval stock watering pond c. 20m x 20m seen at TQ 8047 7894 towards the northern edge of St Mary's Marshes. This was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. The pond appears as an elongated water-filled pond with up-cast material forming two long parallel banks on the northern and southern sides. This is a form of pond seen at several locations in the marshes of the Hoo Peninsula. (1)
