Full Description
The earthworks of a post medieval field boundary can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1947. This boundary was defined by a ditch and was situated on marshland north of Damhead Creek, centred on TQ 8178 7400. This boundary is not depicted on the 1st edition 1867 Ordnance Survey map of the area and presumably was no longer in use by that date. Landscaping of this area in the 1990s has levelled or buried this earthwork. This feature was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(1-3)
