Summary
A Second World War weapons pit located to the west of the 19th Century military road linking Grain Fort and Dummy Battery. Wartime photographs show the trench lying adjacent to a line of barbed wire obstruction, part of the extensive anti-invasion defences and lines of barbed wire obstructing the coast of the Isle of Grain. These trenches form part of the extensive wartime anti-invasion defences which extend around much of the coast of the Isle of Grain. These were mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

Wartime photographs show the trench lying adjacent to a line of barbed wire obstruction, part of the extensive anti-invasion defences and lines of barbed wire obstructing the coast of the Isle of Grain. These trenches form part of the extensive wartime anti-invasion defences which extend around much of the coast of the Isle of Grain.
