Vertical Datum: LAT P & O Liner, built 1911, sank with great loss of life after striking a mine. Vessel was en-route London to Bombay. 26-MAY-1917 Dispersed to 45ft. 07-JUN-1936 Least depth 41ft, presumed to be MALOJA. 28-JUN-1960 Depth 41 in general depth 65-68ft ground scour on west of 73ft. position 51 04 58N, 001 18 18E. 26-JUN-1963 Dispersal contract placed. 04-MAR-1964 Salvage operations in progress. 26-NOV-1964 Dispersal having been completed 04-NOV-1969 request to purchase by Folkestone Salvage Co. almost certain to be MALOJA but could be ANGELUS 01-NOV-1977 in 51 04 51N, 001 18 18E Depth 14.2 in general depth 21m. no scour, height 4.6m, length 155m, appears largely dispersed and fairly well covered with sand, lying 040/220deg.
