Monument record TQ 77 NW 1401 - Probable ring-ditch, south-west of Red Barn Cottage

Summary

An assessment of aerial photographs carried out by English Heritage in 2009-2012 identified two probable ring-ditches, one of which is located to the east (TQ 77 NW 202). The cropmark of a ring ditch, probably the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow located to the south-east of Cliffe. The ring ditch is defined by a single ditch and has a diameter of 24m. This site mapped from aerial photographs taken in June 2011 by English Heritage as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
