Full Description

Vertical Datum: LAT Struck by shells from German long range shore battery and beached. Vessel was en-route London for Gold beach, Normandy with cargo of 2800 tons cased petrol and government stores. (2) 27-APR-1976 Wreck, uncharted, with a rise of 18ft. 18ft of water over wreck at low water. 18-APR-1983 Mass of tangled wreckage covers large area in 51 05 38N, 001 14 40E. Known locally the "BRANDY BOAT". Probably SS EMPIRE LOUGH.
